Ginger, Lemon, and Turmeric Drank

I drink this every morning with breakfast. It’s refreshing and has many health benefits. You can read all about turmeric here, ginger here, and lemon here. With their powers combined, I am Captain Planet!




  • 4 cups of water
  • 2 tbsp turmeric power or a hunk of fresh turmeric
  • 1 hunk of ginger
  • 1/2 a lemon


  1. Bring the 4 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Add the ginger and turmeric powder. Squeeze the juice of the half lemon into the water.
  3. Shut off the heat and cover. Let steep for at least 20 minutes.
  4. Strain and pour into an air tight container and keep refrigerated.
  5. I have a small glass with breakfast every morning. Sometimes I add a shot of apple cider vinegar to my glass.
